Inspiration - Taichung

My husband and I went for a day trip to Taichung to check it out and hopefully be inspired. Along our walk to the Art Museum we saw some interesting sights.

Once we got into the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts we got a brochure in English from the information desk and made our way through the galleries. We saw some really great pieces but most of the galleries have no photography signs at the door, so I didn't get many pictures.

I would suggest stopping in if you are in the area, besides it's free admission, great art and wonderful people watching.

New Earrings

Made a couple of new earrings today:

Weekend Jade Market:

Located under an elevated expressway, reaching from Renai Road & Jianguo South Road intersection down Jianguo Road till Xinyi Rd. In addition to jade, flowers and many other kinds of handcrafts, jewelry can also be purchased. There are actually three different markets, the Weekend Jade Market, Weekend Flower Market and Weekend Handicrafts Market in this same location.
MRT Da'an - take a left out of the station and walk about 2-3 blocks and you run right into it. Can't miss it!

Art Supplies!

Today I got some much desired information on an art supply store in Hsinchu!

The store is Kuan Hsiang Art at No. 2, Alley 3, Lane 575 Nan-Da Road. The opposite Lane is 808 and there is a Family Mart at the beginning of Lane 575. Store hours are 9:00 - 21:00 (not sure if that includes weekends).

Inspiration - National Tsing Hua University

This weekend my husband and I went to an art exhibit at the National Tsing Hua University located at the Arts Center next to the Library in General Building II. It was a solo exhibit featuring artist Wang Gon-Jer. Here are some of the pictures....enjoy!
